CCC Condemns Zanu PF Thugs for Violent Attacks on Innocent Citizens

Gutu , Masvingo – In a recent statement released by the Citizens’ Coalition for Change (CCC), the organization strongly condemned the deplorable actions of Zanu PF thugs who unleashed violence on innocent citizens in Gutu South. The incident occurred shortly after President Nelson Chamisa’s address to the community, sparking outrage and concern among the public.

One of the individuals implicated in the violent attacks is a sitting Member of Parliament for Gutu South, Togarepi Pupurayi, who allegedly led the indiscriminate assault on unsuspecting residents. The CCC has taken a decisive stand against these actions and is determined to provide assistance to the victims of this senseless violence.

The CCC has deployed peace ambassadors to the affected area to offer support and aid to those affected by the attacks. The peace ambassadors, trained in conflict resolution and community outreach, will work diligently to help restore peace and ensure the well-being of the affected individuals.

According to the CCC, the perpetrators responsible for the violence have been identified as Norman Wanga, Evans Mbizvo, Nyikayaramba, John Paradza, Zanu PF member of parliament for Gutu West, Togarepi Pupurai, and his sons, Tadamwa Chiwara and Promise. The organization urges the authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into these incidents and hold the responsible parties accountable for their actions.

The CCC emphasizes that violence has no place in a democratic society and undermines the fundamental principles of fairness and justice. The organization calls on all political parties, candidates, and citizens to exercise restraint and engage in peaceful and respectful dialogue throughout the electoral process.

In light of the upcoming general elections scheduled for 23 August, the CCC urges the electoral authorities and law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety and security of all citizens. They emphasize the importance of creating an environment where people can freely exercise their democratic rights without fear of intimidation or violence.

The CCC’s efforts to provide assistance to the victims of the recent attacks demonstrate their commitment to promoting peace and social harmony in Zimbabwe. Through their peace ambassadors and community initiatives, they aim to create a society where every individual can live free from violence and oppression.

As the nation prepares for the general elections, it is crucial that all stakeholders prioritize peaceful engagement, respect for human rights, and the rule of law. The CCC’s condemnation of the violent actions carried out by Zanu PF thugs serves as a reminder that such behavior has no place in a democratic and progressive society.

The CCC remains steadfast in its mission to advocate for positive change and to support the well-being of all Zimbabwean citizens. Their call for justice and accountability resonates with those who seek a peaceful and prosperous future for the nation.
